Synopsis

Chihiro, a ten-year-old girl, is not thrilled with the idea of moving. She takes the road with her parents to their new home. The family discovers an abandoned town at the end of a tunnel. While Chihiro is walking, her parents pounce on dishes of food that are on a table. But they are immediately transformed into pigs. On her return, their distraught little daughter learns from young Haku that to prevent them from being devoured, she will have to work for the witch Yubaba, the mistress of the baths where the gods come to purify themselves. What will happen during her mysterious journey and will she succeed in saving her parents?

Synopsis

Mitsuha, a teenager in a traditional family who dreams of leaving her native mountains to discover the hectic life of the big city of Tokyo. She is far from imagining being able to experience an urban adventure in the shoes of Taki, a young high school student living in Tokyo. Through her dreams, Mitsuha sees herself propelled into the young boy's life to the point that she believes she is experiencing reality. Everything changes when she realizes that Taki also dreams of a life in the mountains, surrounded by a traditional family as a young girl! A strange relationship develops between their two bodies. What mystery lies behind these strange dreams which unite two completely opposite destinies which have never met?
